ROCKVILLE, MD – (18 January, 2001) – In vitro/in vivo predictability of ProScreen/OptiScreen platform has been confirmed via comparison of pharmacokinetic and cell line transport data for three commercial products. Each of the product comparisons included a first and second generation dosage form with the latter having demonstrated enhanced bioavailability. Transport data was generated for both dosage forms versus a control in the Shire cell-line model. The rank order of dosage form performance in the cell line was compared with in vivo performance of the same dosage form. The rank order of cell-line transport data was consistent with that of in vivo performance.
